Requirements

• Valid California Teacher Credential or Emergency 30-day Substitute Permit

• Bachelors Degree from an Accredited College or University

• Verification of meeting CBEST requirement

• Driver's License or state issued identification

• Social Security Card

• Current TB Test Clearance

• Fingerprint Clearance (Clearing House) with OCDE

• Original Transcripts verifying a Bachelors Degree

• Submit application on line through Ed-join.org

Salary

The Substitute Teacher Daily Rate of Pay is as follows:

• Day to Day Substitute is $190.00 per day. 
• Long Term Substitute: After you have worked 11 (eleven) consecutive days in the same assignment (same absent teacher/classroom) you will earn $220.00 per day, retroactive to the first consecutive day of the assignment.
