AUHSD Digital Citizenship PSA Student Challenge

 

The sixth AUHSD Digital Citizenship Week will be March 30-April 3, 2020.  The purpose of Digital Citizenship Week is to prepare students to use digital technologies safely, ethically, and responsibly and to comply with federal law. (Common Sense Media)   

Student will create public service announcements (PSA) on Internet Safety, Cyberbullying, Netiquette, Digital Literacy, and Digital Footprint.  PSA winners from each category will be shown at each site during morning announcements the week of March 30-April 3.  In addition, one Junior High School and one High School Grand Prize winner will be announced at the district’s Steam-A-Palooza/Technology Fair on April 25th.

PSA Guidelines
Students created PSAs according to the following guidelines.  PSAs that didn't comply with all guidelines were not accepted.

  • Submissions will be accepted through 5:00 pm February 21, 2020.
  • Students must be currently enrolled in the Anaheim Union High School District
  • PSAs must be 30 - 60 seconds in length, not including credits (max. credits 15 seconds)
  • PSAs must be submitted in MP4, MPEG, MOV, or WMV and not larger than 100 megabytes in size
  • PSAs must be free of copyright infringement including graphics and music
  • Credits must include all students involved and tasks, school site, grade level, original or royalty-free music, graphics, and sites researched
  • Students individually or in groups may submit one entry per topic
  • Send submissions to Reuben Patino (patino_r@auhsd.us) or your site Educational Technology Coach along with the submission form.
