For the 2019 Digital Citizenship Week, which was designed to promote the safe, ethical, and responsible use of digital technologies, the AUHSD held a public service announcement contest. Junior High and High School students were asked to submit PSAs under the following categories:
- Internet Safety
- Cyberbullying
- Netiquette
- Digital Literacy
- Digital Footprint
During the recent AUHSD Steam-A-Palooza/Tech Fair, two grand prize winners, one at the high school level and one at the junior high school level, were announced. The Grand Prize winning PSAs came in the categories of Digital Footprint and Internet Safety. They are:
- Digital Footprint by Odila Dimas and Ethan Nguyen under the direction of Oxford Academy teacher Deborah Hale.
- Internet Safety by Jianna Abdua, Diego Inostroza, Crishalline Padua, and Samiya Padua under the direction of teacher Leslie Anderson of Walker Junior High School.
